RULES
• Personal Interview (panel style)
• Swimsuit Competition (beauty of face and figure)
• Evening Gown Competition (poise, personality and charm)
Also, an impromptu (on stage) question will be asked of each contestant.
Results will be determined by a panel of distinguished judges.
Delegates will interview individually with our Judges in a "Panel Style" competition. An opening statement from the delegate is an option, but will be considered as part of her timed interview. Interview will last four minutes.
Judging Criteria: Knowledge, Perception, Self-Expression, Spontaneity, and Personality. Also important are Use of Vocabulary, Voice, Appearance, and Grooming.
We aren't looking for the "perfect body" but for the delegate who has the poise, presence & confidence to compete on-stage in a swimsuit! Look for an expressive, lively walk & general movement, as well as symmetry of form in the swimwear attire. All delegates have their choice of a one or two-piece swimsuit with a sarong. We do NOT have comparison judging, and each delegate should be judged on how well she looks for her age!
Judging Criteria: Confidence, Choice of Swimsuit, Poise, Posture and Execution of Movement.
Grace, poise, presence & style are deciding factors in this phase
of competition.
Judging Criteria: Choice of Evening Gown, Poise, Posture, Personality, Charm, Style, Charisma, Grace, Execution and Overall Appearance.
Delegate should possess the ability to express herself through verbal communication in front of a large audience. Does she answer the question decisively & promptly or does she repeat the question, stall for time or hedge on her answer? There is no right or wrong answer it can be funny, entertaining or serious - depending on the nature of the question and the personality of the delegate.
From these scores, finalists will be selected and scoring of Final On-Stage Interview will determine final placement of the delegates.
